Hi guys... I can't imagine life without music... anyway... last year was great for avant/underground/weird shit: My albums of the year
1. Hototogisu - Green
2. Skullflower - Orange Canyon Mind
3. Various - By The Fruits... You Shall Know The Roots
4.Sunn0))) - Black One
5. Twilight - Twilight
6. Jandek - Glasgow Sunday
7. Jesu - Jesu
There are many others but the a/m 7 are the standouts of the year... check them out...
Recently have been retro-specting:
(a) San Francisco Psych Rock of the late 1960s: Grateful Dead (One of the greatest!), Jefferson Airplane (How did they write those songs?), Quicksilver Messenger Service (The guitar works...), Moby Grape (Aliens sending out brilliant signals to brain fry us all???) and Big Brother And The Holding Company (Kick ass rock n' psych).
(b) Motown Tamla Soul: Marvin Gaye's God-loving psych influenced urban hymns, The Temptations' rocking psych soul and Stevie Wonder's modern black powered funk-up workouts....
