Back again with the second installment of my epiphanies/re-epiphanies list (6-10):
6. Various- Amplify 2002: Balance - Yes, a monument definitely, with 7 CDs and 1 DVD of the festival of onkyo or new improv in Tokyo back in 2002, this will go down in history as one of the most important festivals/live releases in the annals of avantgarde music. If you want to know about the most cutting edge in improv, especially with regards to the Japanese scene like Sachiko M, Toshimaru Nakamura and Taku Sugimoto, this is heaven. Seasoned musicians like Keith Rowe and Gunter Muller were also present, making this an even more valuable treasured set.
7. Various- Improvised Music From Japan - Yes, I'm a sucker for Japanese shit and this is even more monumental than item 6. Avant folk, noise, laptop electronica, and avant shit of all nature are here. Otomo Yoshihide plus dozens of other Japanese avantgardeners sowing and reaping the fruit of musical exploration of the highest order. 10 CDs of brillant shit, no joke.
8. Keiji Haino - This Soul's True Love - He is the most brillant artiste of the 21th century and this 4 CD set reveals to us the roots of his musical vision, compiling his output in the 1970s, this is where it all started. His is my man!!!
9. Lightning Bolt- Wonderful Rainbow - This duo is simply amazing!!! With just a bass guitar and a trap set they created wall of noise heaven that blows metallers, punkheads and noise freaks away!!! Pure noise bliss!!!
10. Sightings- Absolutes- Can you imagine Einsturzende Neubauten meets High Rise, phewww...!!!

Misery loves company and music is the best cure...
