Recently I have Fallen into the Fall universe... yes, Mark Edward Smith's Fall, the most irrelevantly irreverent band since the year punk broke... From Dragnet to Groteque, from Hex Enduction Hour to This Nation's Saving Grace, from the Frenz Experiment to the Infotainment Scan, from Levitate to the Unutterable, and of course, the greatest tome of all, the Complete Peel Sessions 1978-2004... Of course I picked up my copy of Simon Reynolds' Rip It Up And Start Again and Michael Azerrard's Our Band Could Be Your Life, great books on the postpunk scene from the UK, US and other parts in Europe complements perfectly with my re-newed interest in music from that period... Fuck Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Raptures, Franz Ferdinand and the Killers, check out the real deal: Public Image Limited, Killing Joke, Joy Division, New Order, A Certain Ratio, Buzzcocks, Magazine, the Fall, the Sisters of Mercy, Mars, DNA, Black Flag, Liquid Liquid, Minutemen, Husker Du, Big Black, Butthole Surfers, Mission Of Burma, Minor Threat, Sonic Youth, and so many many more....
